The Hub has launched a bespoke online industry survey exploring the impact of COVID-19 on the marketplace from a brand supplier’s perspective.
Brand suppliers are being asked to consider how the pandemic has impacted them — from the beginning of the lockdown to looking forward to when they will be operating in the “new normal”. Findings of the survey will be published as a report, along with some of the best-in-class practices, demonstrating where brands are making a real difference in supporting the industry.
The anonymous survey takes a few minutes to complete online and will enable the sharing of best practice, whilst highlighting the impact of large and small businesses dedicated to supplying both the foodservice and retail economies.
Rebecca Riches, founder and MD of The Hub, comments: “We are all too aware of the detrimental economic and social impact that the lockdown has had on the foodservice sector, as well as the expectational demands upon retailers. This survey will look at what that means for both large, and small food, drink and equipment suppliers.
“We also want to acknowledge those brands that are making a difference. The ones that have got creative, that have shown remarkable agility and those who others might be able to learn from. Learning from peers and even competitors can be invaluable, and some of the resourcefulness and determination shown within our industry in this time of crisis has been really inspiring.”
Founded 16 years this May, upon a love of food, drink and good times, The Hub offers trade marketing and PR consultancy to some of the biggest food, drink and equipment brands, operators and distributors in the UK and beyond.
