Tell us a bit about your company
We make unbelievably good English wine. Born on the Kent Downs, our vineyard unfurls down a south-facing slope in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the same chalk band as Champagne. It’s there that we grow world-class grapes and create wines that are dry, fresh and unmistakably ‘of England’.
From the very beginning, The Uncommon has delighted in doing things differently. We pioneered canned wine in the UK, bringing premium local wine to modern moments with a lighter footprint. In doing so, we’ve helped challenge old ideas around both English wine and alternative formats, proving that wines with real quality, character and craftsmanship need not follow the usual path.
Sustainability is cultivated at our core. The Uncommon became the UK’s first Certified B Corp winemaker, we farm regeneratively, champion biodiversity in and around the vineyard, and our winery is a member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain.

Now, that same thinking is opening a new chapter for us with the launch of two 750ml lightweight glass bottles.
Tempting Fête, a pale, elegant English rosé made from Pinot Noir, and High Tease, a crisp, aromatic white made from Bacchus and Chardonnay. Both are from the 2025 vintage, which is proving to be possibly the finest English growing season on record.
They have been crafted for sharing, table service and those occasions where bottle remains the natural choice. At 395g, each bottle is 28% lighter than a standard wine bottle, continuing our commitment to low-impact wine no compromise on quality.
This is not a shift away from what made The Uncommon, but an expansion of it: award-winning English wine, local character, and delight in breaking tradition for the better. In short, this is not another glass of the usual. It is outstanding wine, reimagined for England.
Why is exhibiting at The National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show an unmissable opportunity for you?
Because the pub is where English wine should feel most at home.
The National Restaurant, Pub & Bar Show brings together the operators, buyers and hospitality teams shaping how Britain eats and drinks. It gives us the opportunity to pour our new wines, challenge a few preconceptions and demonstrate how a modern English wine range can work across an entire venue.
Our lightweight bottles are made for the table, while our single-serve cans offer speed, consistency and less waste at the bar, in the garden, on the terrace or at an event. Together, they give operators a flexible way to serve outstanding English wine without making service more complicated.
Most importantly, wine is best understood by tasting it. We are unbelievably happy to be at the show, meeting the trade, hearing what venues need and introducing more people to what English wine can be.
