James Knappett
James Knappett is chef patron and co-founder of Kitchen Table. Originally from Soham, Cambridgeshire, James trained at catering college before building his career at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, The Berkeley and The Ledbury in London. James later worked at Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, followed by acclaimed international kitchens including Thomas Keller’s Per Se in New York and Noma in Copenhagen. In 2012, James and his wife, Sandia Chang, opened Kitchen Table in Fitzrovia, earning its first Michelin star in 2014 and a second in 2018.

Lesley is Sales & Marketing Director at Ole & Steen, the premium Danish bakery brand known for bringing heritage craftsmanship to a modern audience. She leads the UK marketing strategy across digital, retail, and partnerships, driving growth through customer insight, data-led decisions, and standout brand experiences.
Before Ole & Steen, Lesley built her career across experience-led hospitality brands including Bill’s Restaurant Group and State of Play Hospitality, alongside contributing to industry initiatives such as Hospitality Rising UK. Known for cutting through complexity and getting things done, she brings a pragmatic, creative approach to scaling premium brands in competitive markets.
Atul Kochhar
Chef Atul Kochhar was the first Indian chef to be awarded a Michelin star. He is an accomplished restaurateur who owns multiple acclaimed establishments across the UK, including Kanishka in London and Riwaz in Buckinghamshire. As author of six cookery books, Kochhar is also a respected TV personality who regularly appears on national and international TV, sharing his expertise in modern Indian cuisine with viewers nationwide.
